Dems Rebuild, GOP Expands
So the Democrats are unhappy with new Chairman Howard Dean? It seems that the Dems can't compete with the Republicans in fundraising. Boo hoo for the wackos.
Is it really that surprising that the DNC is having a difficult time raising cash? They are such losers after all. They are the 'Party of No.' The obstructionist party, the party of negativity, the idea-less party. The party of Boxer, Reid, Daschle, Clinton, Gore, Kennedy, Kerry, Edwards, Byrd, Biden and Schumer, sour pusses all.
This current crop of Democrats is about the most unlikeable group of people I've ever seen. They are all so incredibly hateful, evil and mean. Who can support that? Do you want to really send your hard earned money to a bunch of cry babies?
Meanwhile, the Republican Party has no problem attracting admiration and donations because of the energy, the optimism, the vitality, the enthusiasm for the country and the world of the GOP and party leaders like President Bush.
People like positive messages. They respond to positive things, positive ideas, positive proposals, positive visions, positive plans. People do not respond to negativity.
So how exactly does Dean plan to rebuild the DNC? By calling Republicans 'brain dead, corrupt and mean.' Hey, that's a good start. Dean says also has recently said that Conservatives 'are not nice people.' And he believes Tom DeLay should 'move back to Houston and start serving his jail sentence.'
Way to create enthusiasm, Howie. Instead of shoring up new support by speaking to the GOP's base, which is the only way that the Democrats can hope to grow their constituency, Dean speaks only to his party's traditional base. Not a good thing, according to Republican strategist Matthew Dowd.
"A party trying to win elections and expand the electorate would much prefer to be speaking to the other side's base than its own base," said Dowd.
Which is what the GOP is doing. President Bush received more support from African Americans and Latinos in '04 than he did in 2000. All the electoral trends favor the Republicans nationally.
More bad news for the 'Party of No.'
