Clarence Ray Allen, who has been on Death Row for 23 years--23 YEARS!!!--is going to be executed tonight, despite his claims that he's 'too old.'
Allen, 76, who is blind, nearly deaf and confined to a wheelchair, is claiming that his pending death by legal injection tonight at midnight would be cruel and unusual punishment because of his age and myriad health problems.
He also claims that his lengthy stay on Death Row (see above) amounts to cruel and unusual punishment.
Nice try, codger.

Ya, I read that the victim was a teenager. Gee, she wasn't too young to die? I'll say the same thing I said about Tookie Williams: Fry 'em, Arnie.
