If CNN desires respectability again, they should immediately fire Christiane Amanpour, the least objective journalist I've ever seen.

Amanpour is the cable net's 'top war correspondent,' which would require her, journalistically, NOT to state her own opinion on anything related to Iraq. Instead tonight, she called the war 'a disaster.'

If Amanpour, who famously rebuked her fellow 'journalists' for being soft on then-candidate George W. Bush in 2000--she incredulously asked 'how could we have let [his election] happen?--is so anxious to state her opinion then let her write an opinion piece for a newspaper.

The fact that she voices her opinion, an incorrect and unsubstantiated opinion at that, on the air of the network that pays her salary violates every journalistic principle in the book. She is a disgrace and an embarrassment to the profession.

'It just gets worse and worse,' Amanpour told Larry King of Iraq.

No Christiane. What gets worse and worse is CNN's coverage of a much more secure, and now free and democratic, Iraq.
