'logic says'

Housing and Urban Development Secretary Alphonso Jackson is in hot water because he denied a contract for POLITICAL reasons. A contractor allegedly expressed disdain for President Bush to Jackson.

I'll let you in on a little secret: EVERYTHING is political.

"Why should I reward someone who doesn't like the president, so they can use funds to try to campaign against the president? Logic says they don't get the contract. That's the way I believe," Jackson said.

I agree. That's exactly what logic says.

And since they have no logic, New Jersey Senator Frank Lautenberg is demanding Jackson's resignation, while Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank and California Congressman Harry Waxman say Jackson's behavior was 'improper and most likely illegal."

Hardly illegal. More to the point, Jackson and Bush are longtime buddies. Bottom line, if you want a government contract, don't talk smack about the President.

Those without reason are without honor.

And, it stands to reason that you shouldn’t bad mouth the boss if you are seeking to win his favor.

But like you said, these folks are without reason.

Apparently, all lefties skipped the basic college course: Logic and Critical thinking. Or maybe they just routinely ignore the lessons learned there.

I love the fake outrage, too. As if Lautenberg, Waxman and Frank wouldn't play politics with a government contract? Just how dumb do the Democrats think we are?
