Yesterday, Conservative bomb-thrower Ann Coulter appeared on the "Today" show and mixed it up pretty good with the bald one, Matt Lauer. She finally said, 'Are you getting testy with me?'

Lauer was challenging/questioning Coulter on a statement in her new book, 'Godless' about four New Jersey 9/11 widows, who act "as if the terrorist attacks happened only to them."

I agree with Coulter's assessment of Kristin Breitweiser. While I am certainly sorry for the loss of her husband, I have found her to be extremely annoying and preachy. She's a Kerry supporter and he been extremely critical of Bush. Coulter's overall point is that "the Jersey Girls" have entered the political arena but their comments -- many erroneous, like supporting the politicians and the policies responsible for the events of 9/11, yet blaming President Bush for the deaths of their husbands -- go unchallenged because they are 'victims.' I agree with that, too.

But then Coulter, as Coulter often does, goes too far by saying of the widows, "I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much."

Whoa. That's out of line, regardless of politics. Sadly, Ann hurts her cause and her otherwise straight (and correct) opinions by hurtling insults. It's unnecessary, petty and childish. But it's it is exactly what Liberals do, how they treat Conservatives. Liberals aren't merely satisfied by stating their opinion. They can never resist showing everyone how smart and enlightened they believe themselves to be.

What's the difference between Coulter and Al Franken? Coulter isn't lying. She gets in your face and, yeah, she's a bitch about it, but she always wins her debates, typically leaving frustrated Democrats stammering, spitting and sputtering.

Speaking of bitches, Hillary Clinton is pissed. "Perhaps [Coulter's] book should have been called 'Heartless,'" the senator said. "I know a lot of the widows and family members who lost loved ones on 9/11. They never wanted to be a member of a group that is defined by the tragedy of what happened."

Coulter's no-nonsense, harsh, but absolutely correct response: "Before criticizing others for being 'mean' to women, perhaps Hillary should talk to her husband who was accused of rape by Juanita Broaddrick and was groping Kathleen Willey at the very moment Willey's husband was committing suicide."
