over her head?

We haven't talked about Segolene Royal lately.

The French Socialist presidential candidate has made some major gaffes lately. So, in an effort to make up lost ground in the polls, she's unveiled a hard core Lefty agenda, featuring a minimum wage hike, and increased pension and unemployment benefits, all without concrete policy explanation.

Is this woman even qualified to be president? Her claim to fame as Health and Education minister was handing out the morning after abortion pill. She's even more of a lightweight than Hillary. Shouldn't intelligent women everywhere be at least a little bit embarrassed by some types of women running for high office?

Lest anyone accuse me of sexism, let me say that I find many male politicos to be in over their heads from time to time.

I was wondering if you would get to this. There was an Economist article about her today(and fortunately, it was on the free side). I guess this post means that you have jumped off of her bandwagon. Pandering to the left probably works better in France than it does here. But would she be any stronger on terrorism than the current French government? Hard not to improve on the status quo there.

She's advocating criminals be sent to camps policed by the French military.
