I respect Sean Penn's tremendous acting talent, but I strongly disagree with his politics. I also question his activism... Informed, engaged people don't go to Iraq to be willingly (perhaps unwittingly) used as a propaganda tool by the late Saddam Hussein.

Penn, a.k.a., Jeff Spicoli, also famously declared at the Academy Awards a few years back that "actors knew that there were no WMD" in Iraq. That's an all-time classic.

Funny too are his comments this week from Cannes about Barack Obama having a “phenomenally inhuman and unconstitutional” voting record.
”I hope that he will understand, if he is the nominee, the degree of disillusionment that will happen if he doesn't become a greater man than he will ever be,” Penn said.
I'm not even sure what that means, but it makes me laugh. And I'm not sure what Natalie Portman meant when she talked about the 2008 presidential election.
“I think it's a very exciting year for our politics, that for the first time in a while we have a choice of who we like better instead of who we hate least.”
Does that mean the lovely and talented Portman 'hated' Kerry? Did she 'hate' Gore?
