'on budget'

The NYT is reporting that the Democrats are "struggling to raise money for its convention in Denver (pictured above) on August 25-28."

By sharp contrast, Minnesota has opened its arms and wallets to McCain and the GOP. The Twin Cities committee has budgeted to raise $58 million -- $20 million more than they were contracted to raise. The Republicans are totally on budget.

The whining Democrats point to a bad Colorado economy as to a possible reason for their money woes. It might be worth pointing out that Colorado's governor is a Democrat. Minnesota's governor is a Republican, the possible McCain VP candidate, Tim Pawlenty.

Oh, and McCain has more cash on hand than Obama.
