20 years later...

He finally quit his God-forsaken church. Finally. Months after the Wright controversy broke and a full week after Pfleger. But he's still "not denouncing it," which tells me that he agrees with all the stupid stuff that has been spoken and taught inside.

Either he doesn't have a brain in his head, or he's got balls of steel. I can't tell.

Obama is hardly a "new kind" of politician. If anything he is the quintessential old style politician.

He partnered himself with individuals and groups such as the church, William Ayers, and Tony Rezko for political advantage when politically expedient.

When the moment comes that any particular alliance is no longer politically expedient he simply severs ties and makes up some sort of indignant rationale that somehow he is unfairly being made to discontinue his relationship due to some unjustified charge of guilt by association.

Yes Obama, men are judged by the company they keep. Guilt by association? Yes. Just like John McCain is being associated with all of the perceived failures of president Bush by your campaign.

So if John McCain is four more years of Bush, then Obama is four years of Reverend Wright, William Ayers, Tony Rezko, and Michael Phleger.

That being the case, I'll take four more years of Bush in a heart beat.

He's an extremely flawed candidate, but I write this respecting what he's done. He's made history.

But McCain's going to kill him in the general election. Barack's brand of populism/ Liberalism/We-Are-The-World-ism plays great in Boston, Manhattan, Chicago, SF and LA, but it's not going to work in the Red States and several Blue ones, to boot.
