McCain +5 in new polls today and it's all about straight talk.
Straight talk about drilling and energy, about how to handle evil in the world, about the economy and taxes and education. Straight talk about things that matter.
Americans aren't electing a vacilator-in-chief, we are electing an intelligent, capable person to lead us.

It's only going to get worse for Obama. He can't give a straight answer, and his wavering to the left and right on so many issues has been noticed and is now being reacted to. After the convention, which has all the hallmarks of turning into a Clinton-fest, I can't imagine him getting much of a bump - no matter who he picks as VP. He's made this campaign about him: his personality, his charisma, his idealism. Meanwhile, McCain has made his candidacy about his judgment and experience. Even his time as a POW has largely taken a backseat to the issues.
This should be fun to watch.
I think when we look back at the '08 election we'll laugh at Obama. What a footnote he will have become.
