obamacare/socialized medicine

If you support government-run health care in any form, you are simply ignorant of the frequent failures of socialized medicine and how such systems work.

Government-run health care in Britain results in elderly people being left in pain, ignored in soiled bed clothes, denied adequate food and drink, and suffering from repeatedly canceled operations, missed diagnoses and dismissive staff. Twelve hundred people have died from substandard emergency care in the past six years.

Under the Obamacare plan, the government makes public your private IRS tax information.

That means your filing status, your modified adjusted gross income, your number of dependents, and "other information as is prescribed by" regulation, will be given to the new Health Choices Commissioner and state health programs and used to determine who qualifies for "affordability credits." And, there's no specified limit on what's available or unavailable.

Ironic, isn't it, that the political party that claimed to be so concerned about civil liberties under the previous administration is now trying to ram this big violation of civil liberties down America's throat?

Hey Kent, you seem to have run away from your discussions as soon as we started asking questions of you.

BTW, your party is extremely supportive of medicare, Bush expanded it greatly, and Steele even outlined how important it is to preserve it in its current form; so are you saying basically every Republican politician is ignorant of its frequent failures?

I'd recommend that all of you watch this program which takes a look at "socialized healthcare" in five other capitalist democracies. No system is perfect, but the American system is by far the worst consuming 15% of GDP when other countries do it for far less.

- Sick Across Around Word

On a side note, what exactly has the red team offered up as a solution to the current crisis?

PS - I'll be back to debunk Kent's nonsensical claims in a bit. Cheers!

You don't have to look far for what the GOP is proposing on health care reform.

And it actually makes sense, versus that current House piece of crap.
