Global warming? They made it all up. Climate change is a global scam/myth perpetrated by Liberals.

The Earth hasn't warmed a bit in the past decade, by the way.

But a few scientists, with Leftist political agendas, pushed this myth and they prevented, blacklisted, by collusion, scientists from airing their opposing views.

Not very 'Democratic.' Not very 'tolerant.'
'The two MMs have been after the CRU station data for years. If they ever hear there is a Freedom of Information Act now in the U.K., I think I'll delete the file rather than send to anyone. . . . We also have a data protection act, which I will hide behind."

"So wrote Phil Jones, director of the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit (CRU) and one of the world's leading climate scientists, in a 2005 email to "Mike." Judging by the email thread, this refers to Michael Mann, director of the Pennsylvania State University's Earth System Science Center."

"The "two MMs" are almost certainly Stephen McIntyre and Ross McKitrick, two Canadians who have devoted years to seeking the raw data and codes used in climate graphs and models, then fact-checking the published conclusions—a painstaking task that strikes us as a public and scientific service. Mr. Jones did not return requests for comment and the university said it could not confirm that all the emails were authentic, though it acknowledged its servers were hacked."
Republicans are rightfully calling for hearings and investigations into this garbage. Maybe Al Gore will do some jail time for foisting the biggest scam on the globe, since, ever.

Is it 2012 yet?

'lost some stature'

Spiegel, the decidedly Left-leaning German news magazine bashes President Obama.

They chide him on the many failings of his recent trip to Asia, how he got suckered into a joint news conference with Chinese leader Hu Jintao, something Bush never did. The White House punted on human rights, climate change and nuclear disarmament.

Also noted: Obama's failed Israeli policy of demanding the halt to settlement building. Now he has no leverage. They posit, "a return to Bush-style bluntness may be coming."

It seems we can depend only on the international press to cover Obama fairly, even to describe him as having "lost some stature," in the wake of Japan pulling "out of its participation in a mission which saw the Japanese navy refueling US warships in the Indian Ocean as part of the Afghanistan campaign."

Spiegel even pays Obama the ultimate compliment: They compare him to Jimmy Carter.

junk science

This just in: Global warming/climate change is a hoax. Like I've been saying as far back as 2006. It's junk science.

Scientists who believe humans have caused this non-emergency have long been limiting or preventing other scientists from airing their opposing views/beliefs.

And now we have proof, thanks to some 1,000 emails and more than 2,000 other documents that were stolen Thursday from the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University in the U.K. by what appear to be Russian hackers.

From WSJ:
"The correspondence between dozens of climate-change researchers, including many in the U.S., illustrates bitter feelings among those who believe human activities cause global warming toward rivals who argue that the link between humans and climate change remains uncertain."
It's entirely political.
"Some emails also refer to efforts by scientists who believe man is causing global warming to exclude contrary views from important scientific publications."
Like this email:
"Phil Jones, the director of the East Anglia climate center, suggested to climate scientist Michael Mann of Penn State University that skeptics' research was unwelcome: We "will keep them out somehow -- even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is!"
How unethical is this?

And Obama climate-czar, the socialist Carol Browner, is a data manipulator, too.

The jobs data "may be imprecise," but the numbers are "a good representation of what's going on." So says Ed Pound, spokesman for the Recovery Accountability Transparency Board.

Fraud. That's what's going on.

From the White House: "The American people care a lot more about our success in creating jobs than our precision in counting jobs."

Isn't 'hope' and 'change' awesome?

Friday, November 20

by what logic?

Charles Krauthammer sums up the asinine Obama/Holder decision to award a civilian trial to KSM while trying the USS Cole bomber in a military tribunal:
"What a perverse moral calculus. Which is the war crime -- an attack on defenseless civilians or an attack on a military target such as a warship, an accepted act of war which the U.S. itself has engaged in countless times?

"By what possible moral reasoning, then, does KSM, who perpetrates the obvious and egregious war crime, receive the special protections and constitutional niceties of a civilian courtroom, while he who attacked a warship is relegated to a military tribunal?"

Especially ridiculous is Holder's assurance that KSM will be convicted. What if he isn't? Well, then he's in US custody anyway for the rest of his natural life, our tax money hard at work.

Why do any of this stuff? Why grant American rights to non-citizen terrorists? Why spend billions of taxpayer dollars on security in Lower Manhattan? Why risk innocent lives? Why put Gotham on edge? Why disclose classified information to the world? Why give terrorists a roadmap to our tactics and intelligence? Why allow Jihadists a propaganda victory of any kind? To ostensibly put Bush and Gonzalez on trial for 'torture'?

"Moreover, the incentive offered any jihadi is as irresistible as it is perverse: Kill as many civilians as possible on American soil and Holder will give you Miranda rights, a lawyer, a propaganda platform -- everything but your own blog.

"Alternatively, Holder tried to make the case that he chose a civilian New York trial as a more likely venue for securing a conviction. An absurdity: By the time Obama came to office, KSM was ready to go before a military commission, plead guilty and be executed. It's Obama who blocked a process that would have yielded the swiftest and most certain justice."

Welcome to the new Trial of the Century. I'd expect this one to go much the same way OJ did.

a nay vote

Why did Rep. Jason Altmire (D-PA) vote no on PelosiCare?

"Without cost-control, health-care reform is an empty promise."

Do You Approve or Disapprove of the Job Barack Obama Is Doing as President?

A quick, predicatble drop for the rudderless, inept and unqualified Obama.

Gallup has the Magic Negro at 49% (above) and at 45% with Americans over the age of 65.

Quinnipiac has him at 42% with Americans over 55.

55% of New Yorkers oppose NYC terror trials.

A whopping 61% of Americans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction.

No wonder Rasmussen has the GOP with a steady generic ballot advantage.

More and more Americans are blaming the Democrats for the lousy economy.

Problem mortgages are hitting all-new highs.

And the Senate healthcare bill will cut $491 billion from Medicare over the next ten years but damn the torpedoes!! Reid and his merry band of idiots are going to open debate on the Senate bill tomorrow night.

Isn't hope and change awesome?

wildly inconsistent

The decision to bring KSM et al. to New York is bizarre at best, terribly misguided and ill considered at worst.

Eric Holder is basically saying that it's a slam dunk that he'll get convictions of this particular band of terrorists yet the whole point is supposed to be some kind of exercise in "due process"? What kind of fair trial has a guaranteed outcome?

Also, how is it that we are affording illegal combatants (terrorists) constitutional rights and the assumption of innocence yet Obama is still signing off on Predator drone strikes of suspected terrorists in Pakistan? Where is the fair trial and presumption of innocence for those that get a predator missile down the chimney?

The kindest thing I can say about this decision is that it's wildly inconsistent.

on the job training

If only America had been given the chance to vote for someone with actual executive leadership experience for President it's certain that things would no being going so poorly in the economy and in Afghanistan. Please read Mitt Romney's take on the consequences of Obama's on the job training.

"With the McChrystal report in his hands since August, the president has finally been spending more time in the situation room. Surely his deliberations have not been speeded by the presence of Axelrod, the president’s campaign adman. Polls, politics and perspectives on what the TV networks may think have no place at the national security table. Communications staff should be informed of security decisions after they are made, not invited to be a party to them." -Mitt Romney

The feckless Obama administration is shaping up to be the most incompetent administration in American history. Yes, I know, the 'war' on Fox News Channel was stupid, Joe Biden is a blooming idiot and Obama doesn't know history, especially stuff about the Depression and the Cold War...

... But check out the latest dumb thing: 75,343 jobs the White House claimed were either 'created' or 'saved' as a result of that other dumb thing, the $787 billion stimulus package, are either 'doubtful,' or 'imaginary.'

AND these 'doubtful,' 'imaginary' jobs were 'created' and 'saved' in Congressional districts THAT DON'T EXIST. Ever hear of Arizona 15?

Does it get any better? The bogus President and his bogus administration now have produced bogus jobs!

Isn't 'hope' and 'change' awesome?

No new freeze-out for Fox

What happened to that ridiculous 'war' on Fox News?

Apparently it's over since Fox News Channel reporter Major Garrett (above, with 44) was included in the round robin @ Obama's Bejing hotel this morning.

Talking to the most watched cable news channel is smart politics.

who's the boss?

The public deference President Obama shows to members of his own Cabinet disturbs me.

He has deferred often to Attorney General Eric Holder, most recently on the decision to grant al Qaeda terrorists criminal trials in New York. And he deferred to former White House counsel Greg Craig on matters relating to Guantanamo.

The President should defer to no one. President Bush never did. When a President defers to an underling, it's a tacit acknowledgment that he's not in charge. No wonder so many people think Obama is an Axelrod/Emanuel bobble-head doll.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney gets it right when he says:
"There is no reason for an American president to bow to anyone. Our friends and allies don't expect it, and our enemies see it as a sign of weakness."
But it doesn't stop there. Deferring to a peer is equally un-Presidential. A US President BOWING to the Japanese Emperor and Saudi King? We've gone from a 'Cowboy diplomacy' to a deferential diplomacy. One signaled strength, the other cowardice.

It isn't, as the administration claims "vigorous engagement." It's the disgraceful, foolish, naive work product of Mr. Hope and Change, the most unqualified man ever to serve as President.

The Associated Press dispatched ELEVEN REPORTERS to "fact-check" the Sarah Palin book?

Pathetic. And this is the press corps that millions of Americans get their information from?

I don't recall the same level of 'journalistic scrutiny' of that walking, talking reprobate Al Gore...

a despicable decision

Bringing al Qaeda terrorists to Manhattan for what? Show trials? Why?

To appease the kooky, anti-American Left wing base? Because we allegedly 'tortured' someone who killed 3,000 people on 9/11?

KSM and his buddies admitted their guilt long ago. They expressed their desire for execution a year ago. It's reckless and irresponsible to give these men criminal trials and to continue to allow American taxpayers to subsidize the existence of these death-loving freaks.

The only logical explanation for this most despicable of decisions? This is the way Axelrod and Emanuel figured Obama could punish the evildoers who protected the country, give away intelligence secrets and make America more vulnerable without sullying his own reputation. (You know, BO's reputation of being weak and ineffectual?)

Imagine what these trials will be like? Government intelligence, CIA agents, agency methods and tactics on full display for the world (and the world's terrorists) to see.

All because of extreme and irrational hatred for Bush and Cheney, two men who kept you, me and 300 million other people safe from 2001-2009.

'...once soared'

Maybe I spoke prematurely. Here's a story from the NYT, "The President Whose Words Once Soared."

I was one of the many who once believed our President was a great orator. But after seeing him fumble around for words without his sidekick, The Teleprompter, I knew otherwise. But still, in his own mind, BO thinks he's great.

Whether Obama is a good orator or not is beside the point. Fact is, he believes he can sell the American people anything. He's done it before. We elected him. But since that time, he's done nothing but communicate ineffectively.

He's failed to explain to us the need for health care reform, he's failed to explain the need for cap and trade legislation, he's failed to explain the need to fight a war in Afghanistan, he's failed to explain why much of the stimulus has yet to be deployed.

Overseas, he's failed to explain to our friends and enemies the depths of American exceptionalism. He's failed to explain correctly America's role in ending the Cold War, he's failed to explain the great American military sacrifices in the Arab world in recent years, he's failed to explain the importance of democracy and freedom in countries like Iran, North Korea and Afghanistan and he's failed to explain the struggle we, as a country, continue to face from radical Muslims who seek to kill us and take down the United States.

In fact, President Obama is a terrible communicator, totally and wholly reliant on a machine to tell him what to say and when to say it. Left purely to his own devices, he says the wrong thing every time. Moral clarity and a knowledge of history are the missing ingredients.

'curiously bloodless'

What is it about the British press? It seems they are the only ones doing a good and accurate job of covering President Obama.

Toby Harnden of the UK Telegraph describes BO as 'curiously bloodless,' and describing Democrats as 'wistful' about President Bush. Said one:
"I never thought I'd hear myself say it," one Democrat told me. "But Obama makes you feel that at least with Bush you knew where he was on something."
Obama displays a 'strange disconnectedness' about the day's events, from last week's special elections, to the Fort Hood terrorist shootings.

Harnden writes: "Completely missing was the eloquence that Mr. Obama employs when talking about himself."

In a recent Gallup Poll 40 percent of respondents called themselves conservatives and only 21 percent called themselves liberals. The rest are somewhere in between. But what we are getting with this attempt to pass healthcare, as with virtually everything else that comes out of congress, is strictly liberal policy. It caters to merely one fifth of the population. However you slice it, a large majority of Americans are being ill served by the current Federal Government.

Yet we're told that "the people" really want PelosiCare according to some tortured polling that the Democrats claim to be looking at. If that is the case, if everyone is in love with ObamaCare, then why cannot they wait until next year to enact the legislation? After all, no matter what, it's not designed to kick in until after the 2012 elections. So why the rush if it's such a great idea?

They are rushing because they know that what they are trying to do is deeply unpopular. So they have to cram it through one way or the other with the hope that it's forgotten about before the 2010 mid term elections.

Again, if this legislation is so popular why not have the discussion during the 2010 elections. If it's a winning issue politically it would make sense to get it right and drag out the discussion. But they know that's far from the truth so they rush and hold sessions at midnight on a Saturday in order to try and cram this stuff through before anyone gets a chance to object.

Just tell the truth Democrats. Would it kill you to, once in a blue moon, to be straight with the American people?

If this is as important of an issue that the Democrats claim it is, you'd think that they might consider abandoning the deception and give up this painfully obvious attempt to hoodwink the American people.

no federal funds for abortions

Rep. Bart Stupak of Michigan (above) is definitely not a Blue Dog. He has principles. He's a pro-life Democrat and Republicans like Indiana's Mike Pence have voiced admiration for the Stupak amendment, which prevents taxpayer dollars from being spent on abortions in new federal programs.
"We won because [the Democrats] need us," says Mr. Stupak. "If they are going to summarily dismiss us by taking the pen to that language, there will be hell to pay. I don't say it as a threat, but if they double-cross us, there will be 40 people who won't vote with them the next time they need us—and that could be the final version of this bill."
Of course, Obama has done on this issue what he does on everything else: Talk out of both sides of his mouth. The President is on record as being committed to "reproductive health care," (think abortion) the new buzz phrase of Planned Parenthood, while also having told a joint session of Congress that "no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions."

[By the way, a better politician would have handled this more smoothly. A better person would have a single position on abortion, not two different versions depending on audience or venue.]

But I digress. Rep. Stupak deserves a lot of credit for standing firm and for nearly defeating the Pelosi health bill that passed in the cover of darkness last Saturday night, 220-215. Sixty three Democrats + Rep. Stupak and all but one Republican voted were part of the 215 opposed to the pathetic Pelosi bill.

'tear down this wall'

The symbolism of the fall of the Berlin Wall twenty years ago was something that I will never forget. As a child of the 1970's and 1980's, I remember the cold fear America felt from the Cold War.

President Reagan had everything to do with the Wall coming down but the moment finally came during the presidency of Bush 41. I was in college at the time and the pride and emotion I felt were powerful. I was proud of my country in a way that I had never quite been before. At that moment, watching the video of ebullient Germans celebrating the fall of communism, America stood as the shining example of what a free and democratic republic should be.

Today, President Barack Obama -- the empty, meaningless hope and change guy -- has refused to even travel to Germany for the 20th anniversary celebrations, which is purely ridiculous, uncharitable, cowardly behavior.

Candidate Obama, in his hubris, couldn't stop himself from going to Germany to bask in the glow of 200,000 star-stricken non-voters. President Obama, in his ignorance, can't stop himself from apologizing for America's perceived sins whenever he faces a foreign audience. President Obama, in his arrogance, won't communicate America's military selflessness and sacrifice in the Arab world. President Obama, in his great stupidity, refuses to acknowledge America's greatness and exceptionalism, rather he's busily engaged in making the United States less great and less exceptional.

Something I heard Bush 41 say left an impression on me. He said his military service, his knowledge of combat with a fierce enemy served him well because without that experience 'without American power and without American conviction, good things would not have happened.'

The fluke of 2008 -- Obama, a man without a military background, without any real world experience, doesn't understand the world and how it works. All Barry and his equally clueless egghead Liberal elite friends know is the crap they've read out of revisionist history books and the anti-American garbage they heard from their socialist/communist-loving college professors.

Yes, the failure to go to Berlin is a damning indictment on Barack Obama as a President and as a man. He's certainly no Reagan. He's not a Bush. He's not much of a President.

Sunday, November 8

narrow minded

Health care passed the House by a 220-215 vote, with 39 Democrats wisely voted 'No.'

One strange 'Yes' vote was cast by Joseph Cao (R-LA). He's the guy who replaced the corrupt cash-in-the-freezer Democrat William Jefferson.

Am I upset? Of course, because it's a terrible bill and completely unnecessary. But with the Dem's huge majority how could they barely eek out this narrow win?

Pelosi could afford defections, but Harry Reid can't. I'm thinking this won't pass the Senate.

what just happened?

Perhaps I haven't been following closely enough but -and perhaps I'm not alone- I have pretty much no idea what just passed the House of Representatives!

Ahh... the days when the Obama promises to post legislation on line for 72 hours before any voting didn't ring so hollow. In other words, 6 months ago.

It's all fairly ridiculous. No matter how much Nancy Pelosi et al. succeed in sneaking this nonsense through in the dark of night, will there not be a point where we get to see what they are doing? Will there ever be a point where the American people get to read the legislation that was just imposed upon them?

dumb and dumber

Unemployment is now 10.2%, the highest in 26 years.

Now would be a great time to cut taxes. It won't happen, of course, because Democrats don't understand economics.

It's just kind of funny to me that Obama, a tax & spend Liberal, was elected to 'fix the economy.'

Thursday, November 5

The phony Barack Obama was always destined to fail. A man of no experience, no resume, no knowledge, no clue, no roadmap...

Obama was/is a nothing. He was always going to be a bad President. Only stupid people believed he was up to the job.

Face it. The Democrats are failures. Everything they believe is incorrect. Higher taxes kill the economy. Naive foreign policy gets Americans killed. Social programs cause bigger social problems. Liberalism is time-honored historical failure.

Liberals, like Obama, only get elected when they pretend to be Conservatives. Remember, Obama promised to cut the taxes of 95% of Americans?

fort hood

It's a fair question. Should American Muslims be allowed to serve in the American military?

Major Nidal Malik Hasan apparently believed that it was perfectly acceptable for Muslim terrorists in war theatres to take up arms against American military personnel. Another fair question would be whose side was/is Hasan on?

There is plenty of evidence that Hasan was disturbed or conflicted about wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I'd say he was ill-equipped to serve and should have, as a matter of personal responsibility, resigned his position as a member of the US military.

America was founded, in part, on the principle of freedom of religion. I don't care who you worship, but one's allegiance is a matter of principle. Either you pledge allegiance to the United States of America, or you do not.

election night ratings

A hell of a lot more people tuned into Fox News Channel last night than the other guys.

is completely irrelevant, despite their claim that journalism trumps opinion. Oops.

Fox News 4,043,000
MSNBC 974,000
Headline News 842,000
CNN 826,000

[Which idiot @ the White House decided the war on Fox News was 'smart politics'?]

The best evidence that the White House was rocked to the core last night by big GOP gubernatorial victories in New Jersey and Virgina? The assertion that President Obama watched an HBO documentary about himself.

The voters of Maine rejected same sex marriage.

Atlanta now will have a Mayoral run-off between white chick Mary Norwood and black dude Kasim Reed. The MSM is painting this is as a racial thing, even though Norwood won key support in black districts of the city.

Of course, it's a shame that we lost NY-23, but it was a self-inflicted wound from the GOP leadership and blue-blood heavyweights. Anytime you give $900K to a Republican-In-Name-Only you're asking to lose. RNC Chair Michael Steele has failed to impress me.

Also unimpressive was the effort thrown behind GOP challenger David Harmer in California's 10th District. Some of the $900K that went to Scozzafava would have helped Harmer, who lost to the hack John Garamendi, to replace the dishonest Ellen Tauscher, who now works at the State Department.

No wonder Taucher didn't give a damn about her constituents opposing Obamacare... her fat ass was headed out the door to a better job.

No matter how you slice it, it was a big night for the Republican Party and a scary time for the Democrats. They are in trouble. The three morons Obama/Reid/Pelosi have been a complete disaster. They've taken 'incompetency' to new levels.

I'd expect them to tone down their rhetoric and scale back their plans, big time. Or maybe they'll do America a favor, keep doing what they're doing and continue running toward the cliff.

Monday, November 2

I can't wait until tomorrow. It looks like it's good to be a Conservative again.

In Virginia, GOP gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell looks to be a shoe-in, with a 13.8% lead over the inept union thug Creigh Deeds.

In New Jersey, the rotund GOP gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie looks to be edging the failed incumbent Governor Jon Corzine to a slim defeat. But, this is New Jersey we're talking about. Never underestimate what desperate Liberals will do to secure an election victory.

In New York's 23rd Congressional district, Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman has all the momentum after the 'Republican' Scozzafava exited the race over the weekend and endorsed the Liberal Democrat Owens.

It would be great to get all three victories. I have my doubts about New Jersey, but Virginia is no small slap to Obama, especially since the meaningless 'hope and change' mantra carried Old Dominion just a year ago. NY-23 is a huge victory for Conservatives, no matter how you slice it.

Also, Atlanta's new white Mayor? Yep, meet Mary Norwood.

And who is Marco Rubio? He's the guy challenging RINO Charlie Crist for Mel Martinez's Senate seat.

My buddy JP and I had a convo yesterday @ my local watering hole. (JP, God love 'em voted for Obama.)

JP: "Obama hasn't really done anything."
Me: "He's done plenty of under-the-radar stuff. Things that go largely unreported."

From today's WSJ:
"While President Barack Obama still faces stiff headwinds on a range of major legislation on his agenda, he has been signing into law a slew of smaller initiatives that had gathered dust on the Democratic wish list for years."
For example, the White House slipped a big federal hate crimes law into a defense policy bill. Other measures make it easier for women to sue if they are denied equal pay, prevent development of Western lands, expanded government regulation of tobacco and children's health insurance.
"Rep. Tom Price (R., Ga.), a conservative leader in the House, concedes that, in some cases, Republicans are being outflanked. "The administration is pushing so many things so rapidly it's difficult to concentrate on all of them," he said.
One wishes that President Bush had enacted a larger number of Conservative wish list items in his early years in office with big GOP Congressional Majorities, yes?

happy halloween

"The Worst Bill Ever," pretty much sums it up. The Democrats intend on passing Obamacare even though it will cost $1 trillion over the next decade, even though Congressional Democrats are already spending historic sums of money and expanding the federal bureaucracy

All of this means you and I are going to be paying 60% of our income (federal+state+local) in taxes. This is European style taxation. I smell a revolt.
