unfair, unbalanced

CNN is in the ratings toilet and it's a good day for American journalism.

There hasn't been a more biased news operation in the history of the world. For decades, CNN has concocted 'news,' and deliberately misled the country and the world with biased reporting.

Meanwhile, the objectively truth-telling Fox News Channel continues to grow in popularity.  The ratings are up for '09 and Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck and Greta Van Susteren.

the tax man

Cue up the Beatles, just as Republicans warned, Obamacare means more IRS agents will be hitting the streets of America to make sure that you and I have health insurance.

They'll audit us, take our tax refunds, and check to see if we have the minimum amount of coverage, as determined by the Department of Health and Human Services.

rove, interrupted

Idiots from Code Pink interrupted a Karl Rove book signing last night in Beverly Hills. They tried to place him under citizen's arrest with pink handcuffs! Hysterical.

Rove's too nice of a guy. He should have gotten tougher. (You can bet your ass I wouldn't have allowed these stupid women to spoil my event.)

Do you think these morons know that Iraq just had another free and fair democratic election?

the two-faced democrats

I thought Obama was opposed to earmarks?

Yet, Bart Stupak and the other 10 pro-life House Democrats switched their no votes to yes on the illegitimate Obamacare only after getting $3.4 billion worth of earmarks.

I completed my Census form over the weekend. Yes, I'm a 64 year old black man.

Not that it matters.  The Census is plagued by IT problems and errors and won't be accurate anyway.

Isn't the federal government efficient and organized? Yeah, they'll have no problem managing health care for 300 million Americans.

Liberals, like my new buddy Jon, love to rip Sarah Palin but she was a highly successful Governor. Now she's a major draw. Here she is earlier today in Searchlight, Nevada being welcomed by 10,000 people. They had to turn people away.

Jon thinks CNN is 'right down the middle and fair' in it's coverage of Republicans and Democrats. I disagree. And here's a good example that proves my point. CNN's Fredricka Whitfield estimated that "hundreds of people, at least dozens of people," went to Searchlight.

Ooops. Fredricka can't count. Or she's a biased journalist.

'Right down the middle fair' CNN also failed to report that some violent Harry Reid supporters threatened some of the Tea Partiers. Yet, CNN had a field day last week with unsubstantiated reports of threats and violence by Republicans.

All Presidents make recess appointments. It's not a big deal, unless you're Barack Obama and you're putting another radical into a position of power.

In this case, the President has appointed ultra Left union lawyer Craig Becker to the National Labor Relations Board.

repeal and replace

November cannot come soon enough.

Thursday, March 25

Just like the Democrats. Phony people. Phony policies. Phony politics. They lie about everything.

The President is a liar, a community organizer, the most unqualified person ever, a global embarrassment.

And now O is raising money from another lie.

what kind of people are these?

The Congressional Democrats disgust me.  They rigged the system to pass Obamacare and now that they have a little egg on their faces they don't like it.

Democrats are inhuman. They are bad people. There should be no place in Congress for despicable creatures such as these.
"This is a serious bill. This is a serious debate. The amendment offered by the senator from Oklahoma makes a mockery of the Senate, the debate and the American people. It is not a serious amendment."
So said Sen. Max Baucus (MT) regarding the amendment put forward by Republican Sen. Tom Coburn that would have prevented using federal money to pay for Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs for rapists, pedophiles and other sex offenders in health care 'reform.'

How does a common sense amendment like this 'make a mockery of the Senate?' The Democrats have made a mockery of the entire legislative process with this non-budgetary Reconciliation.

phony threats

Nobody called black House members the N-word. Nobody called Barney Frank (D-MA) the F-word. In the age of cell phone video cameras don't you think we would have already seen the 'evidence'?

Similarly, there are no 'threats' against Democrats. The Left is making all of this stuff up because it gives them cover for their inexplicable action of ramming through this unconscionable 'health care reform' bill Sunday night.
“I know many Americans are angry over this health care bill, and that Washington Democrats just aren’t listening,” House GOP Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) said. “But, as I’ve said, violence and threats are unacceptable. That’s not the American way. We need to take that anger and channel it into positive change. Call your congressman, go out and register people to vote, go volunteer on a political campaign, make your voice heard — but let's do it the right way."
Are we angry? Damn right we're angry. But are we going to resort to violence? No. We're going to have our revenge in seven months.

Shame on the MSM for advancing this bogus story and for not accurately reporting on Obamacare the past 12 months. They have failed miserably in their jobs, educating the American public about the news of the day.

flashback: 5_20_07

Global warming is a joke. Read what I wrote about global warming nearly three years ago here.

I respect James Cameron as a filmmaker. He's a genius. But, like most creative people, he's a nutbag Leftist.

Criticizing Glenn Beck is fine. I love free speech, but how is Beck 'dangerous'?

Ignoring the sillyness and the craziness, Beck is a Constitutionalist. That's what he preaches on his shows.

I'd say the people who disagree and seek to change the Constitution are the dangerous ones. I'd say environmental zealots like Cameron are dangerous to society.

Liberalism is particularly fragile. The ideas behind it are shaky and it can't withstand any type of scrutiny. It can't tolerate free speech.

Look at college campuses. They run off conservative speakers like David Horowitz and Ann Coulter.

Aren't colleges the perfect place for the discussion of different ideas and various schools of thought?

mind the gap

Nice dishonest reporting by the Associated Press on Obamacare's glaring omission of coverage for children with pre-existing conditions: "Gap in health care law's protection for children."

A gap?

This coverage claim has been one of the biggest things Democrats and the President have been touting.

They've been talking about it, promising it and promoting it since Sunday as the most important (and one of the few instant) benefits of Obamacare, but, I guess, in all of the deal making, arm twisting and backroom bribing last week they forgot to put it in the bill.

As biased as CNN is, even they now have to admit that Obama's unpopular... The Prez scores a 51% disapproval in a new poll.

cnn blows

Michael Steele is on the defense after a controversial depiction of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared on the RNC website.
Hey, CNN. Why should RNC Chairman Michael Steele have to "defend the 'Fire Pelosi' web page"?

I don't recall CNN ever calling Democrats on the carpet for criticizing Republicans.

Left wing media sucks.

Stupak is far from the principled poltician he claims to be.

Pro-life? How about pro-$726,409 in airport funds for his Michigan Congressional District?

More than anyone, Stupak is responsible for Obamacare becoming law today. In fact, I might start calling Obamacare "Stupakcare."

slaying obamacare

Can the federal government force you to buy health insurance?

Forget health care being a political legacy. Obama, Pelosi and Reid will be remembered for ramming through the most severely flawed bill in American history.

Massive court challenges are coming to overturn this ridiculous legislation and it's just a matter of time before the Supreme Court decides. Let's just hope the Conservatives are still in the Majority.

36 hours = 5 days

Jim McDermott is a traitor to his country.
Pelosi is the slimiest politician ever to walk the hall of Congress.
And what's The Stones' Ronnie Wood doing there?

Monday, March 22

Stupak proved it. There is no such thing as a pro-life Democrat.

ad wars

One day later, the advertising is going up.

Can we imagine a world in which the Republicans re-take Congress and "The Most Powerful Woman In 100 Years" is sent packing back to San Francisco?

Yes, we can.

let the lawsuits begin

Florida, South Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Utah, Pennsylvania, Washington, North Dakota, South Dakota and Alabama don't much like Obamacare and they are going to sue.

Oh, yeah. Virginia, too.

how it happened...

How she pulled it off. It's actually an incredible story.

All last week: She cooked the bill for a good CBO score, then focused on the Demon Pass strategy, but dumped it when it began losing her votes.

Going into the weekend, they were short, not even counting (or considering) Stupak.

Friday-Saturday, the Speaker handed out various goodies, Medicare payments to Oregon and 16 other states.

Saturday night, still short, came the idea for the Executive Order to win over Stupak.

Even Sunday, minutes before the vote counting, Nancy and the Senate Democrats averted a near bill-killing move by the Republicans, who found language in the bill that would doom reconciliation in the Senate. The solution? Senate Dems refused to meet with the Repubs or the Senate Parliamentarian, so as not to risk losing House votes on Obamacare.

That's how a bill becomes law, boys and girls.

(The Republicans could learn something about party unity from the cultish Democrats.)

sit down & shut up senator graham

What the hell is Lindsey Graham doing? Why is he working with the White House to close down Gitmo?

Congressional Democrats won't even give Obama the money he needs to shutter the prison.

Maybe we should target Graham in November, too.

taking from the rich, giving to...

In 2008, Candidate Obama told Joe the Plumber he wanted to 'spread the wealth around.'

That's essentially what Obamacare is going to do.

pelosi the power-mad pig

What good has Pelosi done, except accumulate power for herself and bastardize the Constitution? She makes my skin crawl.

anti-american bastard pig democrats

All of the Democrats who aren't running for re-election AND voted for Obamacare, the new Roe v. Wade, deserve a beating.

But I have special disgust for Brian Baird, the bastard from Washington State. He's the guy who stuck the taxpayers with a big bill for his climate change vacation to the Galapagos Islands.

The pig Baird voted no last time around, but now that he's safe from facing the voters again, BAM! He was a yes vote tonight.

Now the bill goes to the Senate, where Republicans, if they know what's good for them, had better not bend or break.

Here are all of the House Democrats who voted for Obamacare tonight in direct defiance to the will of the American people.  Remember these names, work to defeat them in November and pay special attention to Bart Stupak.

The arrogance makes me sick. Walking outside and making a show of the entire illegitimate process, as if this is a civil rights issue? Look at how Democrats use the black folks as props. Tacky.

More of Pelosi's "Let's Hear It For The Power" tour.

Hello, economy-killing, single-payer, 16,000 new IRS-enforcing Obamacare, the legislation that 60% of Americans don't want.

I'm just catching some of the speechifying by the Speaker of the House.  What does Pelosi know about 'character'?

Thursday, March 18

'desperate and creepy'

The White House has been telling members of Congress that voting for health care salvages the Obama presidency.

As if the political fortunes of one man trumps the welfare of 300 million + people? Sorry to break it to you, Barack, but you're not that important. You're just a President with an unpopular agenda.

The longer this charade goes on the more desperate the Democrats seem. The buy-offs, the arm-twisting, the intimidation, the threats, the rules violations, the unconstitutionality of everything the Left is doing with regard to so-called 'health care reform.'

the gaffe machine

Joe Biden, the dumbest person on the planet. What an embarrassment.

growing nationwide

Idaho is the first state to pass a law making it possible to sue the federal government over the unconstitutional Obamacare.

Governor Butch Otter (R) signed 'a measure requiring the state attorney general to sue the federal government if residents are forced to buy health insurance.'

Virginia has already announced it will do the same.

'repeal it'

The Republicans are already working to repeal Obamacare, with Democrats continuing to make the case that health care 'reform' will be more popular after it passes.

I don't buy it. Logic says that ramming the bill through will make even more Americans angry at the Democrats' tactics.

And the idea that repealing Obamacare, when and if it passes, will somehow hurt the GOP makes no sense, either. Tax hikes go into affect immediately to pay for this boondoggle, but the provisions don't kick in until 2014.

There are going to be a lot of pissed off voters come November and they are all going to be voting Republican.

bend over

Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) is a slut. All it took to get him to vote for health care was a ride on Air Force One?

I used to respect Kucinich. He's a kook, but I always liked his sunny disposition. Not after today.

He admits the health care bill isn't the bill he wanted but he's voting for it anyway. Voting for faulty and transformative legislation to salvage the Obama presidency is about as partisan as it gets.

Obama's political fortunes don't matter at all measured against the extreme negative impact Obamacare will have on the lives of 300 million + Americans.

'deem & pass'

Rather than attempting a vote on Obamacare, it's now rumored that Congressional Democrats will 'deem' the bill through without actually requiring members to cast up or down votes on the legislation

This form of self-executing rule, also known as 'deem and pass,'  gives members plausible deniability. They can credibly say, "Hey, I didn't vote for it."

Whatever the case, it sounds unconstitutional and it's certainly a dirty way to get this done. There's not been a shred of bipartisanship from the White House. This entire Obamacare episode is ridiculous. It's been illegitimate from the start.

let iraqis decide

File:Ayad alawi high res.JPEG
Why is the Obama administration backing the corrupt, money-grubbing Baathist Ayad Allawi for Prime Minister of Iraq?

This is yet another display of the anti-Democratic tenor of the White House.

jaundiced justice

'The Al Qaeda Seven' matter a great deal.

Lawyers of all political stripes are complaining about Liz Cheney because she demanded the identities of the seven Justice Department lawyers who defended al Qaeda terrorists on their own time, be made public.

The Justice Department should not employ attorneys with political axes to grind.  (Above, Neal Katyal, now at the Justice Department, won a 2006 case for a Guantanamo detainee in Supreme Court.) But in the Obama administration we have an Attorney General in Eric Holder who has been grinding his axe for the past 14 months.

Leftists are busy trying to spin this into a debate about defending the accused, but it's not about that. It's about current Justice Department attorneys who rushed to defend sworn enemies of the United States of America.

Here's the key thing Liberals won't talk about: There is no right to counsel in habeas corpus cases.

Cheney, just like her father, is right.

Meet American citizen Sharif Mobley. He's an al Qaeda guy who worked at six American nuclear power plants from 2002 to 2008.

Fortunately, Mobley was recently arrested in Yemen after shooting and killing a security guard at a hospital.

learn this

We can always count on Texas to do the right thing. In this case, to determine the proper content of children's textbooks.

Texas, California and other big states get a bigger say in the curriculum since those states order more books than Utah and Idaho. Makes sense, right?

Idiot Texas Liberals are pissed. The new books make no reference to hip hop, the Texas Rangers killings of Mexicans, or the KKK. Instead they honor the Founding Fathers and the American military while emphasizing American Exceptionalism, personal responsibility and accountability.

'disechantment with democracy'

Does Iraq understand Democracy better than the United States?

Iraqis expressed their opinions @ the ballot box last weekend (thanks to President Bush) as President Obama and the Congressional Democrats continue in their attempt to ram through unpopular and unnecessary phony 'health care' legislation.

Obamacare is un-Democratic. There is, on the Left, a 'disenchantment with the very idea of democracy.'

Liberals get really upset really angry when someone challenges their patriotism, but, how can a reasonable person not question the allegiance of a person like Attorney General Eric Holder, who believes granting the privilege of an American criminal trial on a non-citizen terrorist like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is good policy?

How else to explain the Liberal shrillness on Iraq? How else can you explain Obama's inaction on Iran or his interference in Honduras? What about kowtowing to Russia by shelving the missile shield in Eastern Europe (and selling out of Poland and the Czech Republic)? Or pissing off Britain and Israel, our two staunchest allies? Or bowing to Saudi royalty? How can we explain essentially normalizing relations with Cuba? Shaking hands with Hugo Chavez?

The fact that Obama is more popular in the Muslim world than bin Laden speaks volumes.

Thursday, March 11

No more fraudulent elections in the Buckeye State!  The criminal enterprise known as ACORN will 'permanently surrender' it's Ohio business license on June 1.

the worst president ever

If you voted for Barack Obama you got suckered. Shame on you for being so gullible.

Republicans = lower taxes, smaller government.

Democrats = high taxes, big government.

Nothing in life is as simple.

damn the torpedoes

WaPo's Richard Cohen gets everything wrong about Obamacare:
"The baleful fact is that the country suffers from a surfeit of democracy -- a gazillion interest groups, a gazillion blogs, a gazillion talk shows and all of them insisting on transparency so a gazillion eyes peer over the shoulders of politicians. The black but necessary art of politics shies from the sun. Little gets done. Backrooms have been turned into rec rooms and meetings are seminars. We are doomed. Worse, we are bored."
We're 'bored' so somehow this is justification for "ramming" through Obamacare?  The Founders purposefully made it difficult to pass partisan, transformational types of legislation. They knew in their wisdom that consensus was needed in order to govern successfully.

Yet, the obtuse Cohen opines that 'great Presidents lead.' Yes, they do. TR, FDR, Truman,  Reagan, George W all were great leaders. They all led. But when, these past 13 months, has Obama ever proven himself to be a leader? He has never led anything. And by the way, Obamacare is not the Emancipation Proclamation, or the Civil Rights Act, or the desegregation of the military. Obamacare is a Washington DC power grab, nothing more.

Obamacare has nothing to do with health care reform. It doesn't cut costs, it doesn't cover everybody, it doesn't make insurance more competitive, it doesn't include tort reform and there is no consensus.

Monday, March 8

'naked as a jaybird'

I hope Rep. Eric Massa (D-NY) doesn't resign. The guy has balls, speaking out against the hardball tactics of his desperate-to-pass-Obamacare Democrats.

That said, as much as I dislike Rahm Emanuel, I admire and respect his style. He stops at nothing to win.  That's how I'd be if I was involved in professional politics.  I wish we had a guy like that on the Republican side, instead of a bunch of pansies.

trump politics

I love this headline from the NYT: "Obama Says Health Overhaul Should Trump Politics."

How disingenuous can Obama and the Democrats get? They turned the health care debate into the political circus that it has become, drafting bills in secret, holding midnight votes, threatening reconciliation, etc.

Friday, March 5

the gop's future

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) is the anti-Obama.
Larry Kudlow writes that Ryan, 'baffled' Obama @ the phony health care summit.

(I'd say Ryan schooled Obama, but whatever.)

nice try, katrina

Imagine the arrogance of thinking that Obama's Liberal Progressive-ism is the Majority political opinion in America? Few people doubt that America is a center Right country, and that is plainly evident from the nation's reaction to what some call 'health care reform.'

We've noted here how the Democrats misread their 2008 mandate, how they misinterpreted the election results. It's even more obvious now, given Obama's problems, his cratering poll numbers, the unpopularity of the Democrat-led Congress and the non-support for most of the President's programs.

Yet, those on the clueless Left, like Katrina vanden Heuvel, believe Obama isn't Liberal enough and even that Chief-of-Staff Rahm Emanuel has become a liability, that he's 'dangerous,' because he's too moderate.

That's freaking hilarious.

It's Rahm who is primarily responsible for putting the Democrats into the Majority in 2006. Had the White House applied his centrist approach to governance, much of Obama's agenda, like health care, would already have been signed into law.

Why is it that nobody on the Left faults the Community Organizer for his many failings, most notably the total abrogation of his agenda to the absurdly ridiculous Pelosi and Reid, the biggest political failures in recent history?

Thursday, March 4

democrats to america: f*** you

Only a stupid Liberal would try to compare Obamacare and Iraq, but that doesn't stop William Galston in The New Republic. I must say it's a ballsy argument.

Obamacare is unpopular, but so what? Iraq was unpopular, too, but this is apples and oranges.  Iraq was a humanitarian decision, a strategic decision and a successful decision.  Bush gets all the credit for liberating that country and making the Middle East a better place.

The people who opposed what Bush was doing (and did) in Iraq were ignorant and uninformed.  They still are.

Installing a government run health care system in the United States against the will of at least 60% is in no way democratic. Regardless of their talking points, Democrats are attempting a colossal power grab of 1/6 of the American economy. They want absolute power and if they can control the flow of care and the decision-making hierarchy, they'll succeed.

Unlike Iraq, which was designed to help people and save lives, Obamacare will hurt people by raising their taxes, limiting their options and rationing their care. A trip to the doctor will be like a visit to the Post Office.

We are not ignorant and uninformed about Obamacare, or the hyper-partisan methods that are being used to force it into law. That is why it is so unpopular.

Wednesday, March 3

still a long way to november...

... But, from my perspective, things look pretty good politically.

Two words: Paul Ryan.  He made mince meat out of the President on health care.

Jim Bunning made a mockery of the Democrats and their silly pay-go garbage.

NJ Gov. Chris Christie is a stud. He's frozen spending and walking the GOP walk.

Obama, by even considering reconciliation to ram through government-run health care, is committing hari kari.

The shameless and shameful Charlie Rangel is no longer Chairman of Ways and Means. That's a good thing, no matter how you slice it.

Viva Milton Friedman!

CNN is dying a slow, painful death.

Monday, March 1

fat & happy

Charles Rangel
Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY), the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, is a tax cheat. He should go to jail. Instead he has Nancy Pelosi's full support, which frees him up to break the law and take siestas @ the beach.

In a perfect world, pieces of human garbage like Rangel, Pelosi, Leahy, Reid, and Durbin would have no place in Washington DC.

blue states, red ink

Shocker: Blue states are in deeper financial holes than Red states

Democrats spend.  That's what they do. They also lie, cheat, weaken national security, play childish political games, ignore public opinion and grant rights to terrorists, but spending is their big thing.

wishing away al gore

The liar Al Gore came out of hiding to write an op-ed for the NYT. He says we can't 'wish away climate change.'

Who's wishing? I'm saying climate change isn't real.  Or, if it is real, it is a perfectly normal, cyclical and natural event.  Sometimes the Earth cools, sometimes it gets warm.  One thing is for sure, there's been no warming since 1998.

All of this hysteria, the scaring people, the green movement, is stupid and is a myth.

I've written it before and I'll write it again.  The same climate change people these past few years are some of the same people who warned of a coming Ice Age thirty years ago.

Nobody cares what you say, Al. You're rich because of this global warming charade, congratulations. Now, go away.
