appalling (and illegal)

Durbin and Obama.jpg

Oh, yes, wonderful government-run health care, where patients go neglected, unwashed, soiled in their beds to develop infections.  Many are untreated, malnourished without food or drink.  Some die.  Government-run health care is appalling care.

But this is what President Obama and the so-called 'Democratic' majority in Congress wants for each and every American. Why? Not because they care about your health or well-being, but because they want power over every aspect of our daily lives.  And it starts with medical decisions made for you at the federal level.

What the Democrats are attempting to do with health care 'reform' is unconstitutional.  Read here and here. It's civics 101 but the truth is, the Founders wanted gridlock in Washington. Consensus must be built on the big issues like health care.

state of the art

Clinton: Got stent that's rare in Canada.

If the Canadian health care system is as good as the Left claims, why didn't former President Bill Clinton sneak across the border to Toronto last week for cardiac stent surgery?

Short answer: Such surgeries are expensive and rare in government-run health care systems, which is why government-run health care isn't state-of-the-art care.

Yet, the diabolical Democrats are still trying to force it upon America, anyway, will of the people be damned.

2012

"Conservatives believe in providing constitutional rights to our citizens, not to enemy combatants like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed! On our watch, the conversation with a would-be suicide bomber will not begin with the words: you have the right to remain silent!”

One of many great lines from Mitt Romney's killer CPAC speech today.

a one-termer?

Red meat for the base @ CPAC, red meat for the base.

Hey, Mr. Vice President, I think it's far too early to tell if BO is a one-termer. The Magic Negro has been a one trick pony thus far, but he could surprise us.

One thing is for certain, and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney noted this today as well, Obama has been a miserable failure as President, in terms of domestic policy.

I'd say the Obama foreign policy of apologies and capitulation has mostly been a disaster, too, but I give credit where credit is due for the military strategy (after the childish 3-month dithering) in Afghanistan and the recent captures of Taliban leadership.

You've got to be consistent.

ACTION

Haven't blogged in a while because so much stuff is happening, keeping up's nearly impossible.

Global warming? I'd say the myth is dead when Caterpillar, Inc., BP and ConocoPhillips pull out of a global warming lobbying group.

Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN) not running for re-election and ensuring the Indiana Democrats won't have to participate in a primary? Sure, why not? He's been advising them the past 12 months to go to the political center.  He's said to be 'influential,' but Obama and Reid haven't heeded his advice. How 'influential' can he be? Who cares? He's still a rabid partisan.

Stimulus? Only 1/3rd has been spent and it's quickly becoming another joke of the incredibly incompetent Obama administration. It hasn't created jobs. It hasn't saved jobs either. In fact, there's a 'rising' homelessness problem.

Here's a freebie for the dim-witted Democrats.  If they really wanted to create jobs, they'd be smart to focus on the nation's badly crumbling infrastructure. And a good place to start would be on suspension bridges across America, all of which were built 60 years ago.

Speaking of crumbling, Zachery Kouwe, a reporter for the most dishonest newspaper in the America, the New York Times, resigned amid charges of plagiarism.

And whatever happened to that 'Permanent Democratic Majority,' anyway?

listening

Remember when the NY Times outed the Bush administration's top secret warrantless wiretapping of phone calls between foreign terrorists and terrorists sympathizers inside the United States? It was a major reason why Bush batted .1000% against al Qaeda after 9/11, but Liberals were outraged. Civil liberties groups went crazy.

It turns out that tracking mobile phones is a commonplace investigative tool used by police departments nationwide, but now, the Obama administration is planning to push for tracking the cell phones of all Americans.
"[The White House is arguing that] warrantless tracking is permitted because Americans enjoy no "reasonable expectation of privacy" in their, or at least their cell phones, 'whereabouts.
"U.S. Department of Justice lawyers say that "a customer's Fourth Amendment rights are not violated when the phone company reveals to the government its own records" that show where a mobile device placed and received calls."
My question to the Feds is why?  Why listen to Americans, the majority of whom are law abiding citizens. Where's the national concern over civil liberties from the Left now? Where's the big outrage? Where are the critical newspaper editorials?  Where is the reporting on this? Why isn't Katie Couric doing nightly exposes on this?

out

No more Kennedy's in Congress? Praise God. Patrick Kennedy, son of Ted, is not running for re-election in Rhode Island. Although, dollars to donuts I'd bet Patrick challenges Senator Scott Brown in six years.

Did I ever tell you the story about how my Grandparents were die hard Democrats until Patrick's Dad cowardly allowed Mary Jo Kopechne to drown?

It's just one of the facts of modern life. There are bad Republicans, but there are no good Democrats.

unbelievable

"He says 'I'm for clean coal,' and then he says it in his speeches, but he doesn't say it in here," said Sen. Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia. "And he doesn't say it in the minds of my own people. And he's beginning to not be believable to me."

Obama stopped being believable to me after claiming he was going to 'lower the oceans...'

meet john dennis

As we get closer to the midterm elections, Jaz and I will provide more and more info on good Republican House and Senate candidates worthy of your support and we'll post links to their websites.

Case in point: Libertarian John Dennis of San Francisco, is taking on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in CA-8. Please send this man a donation, now! The lying hypocrite Pelosi isn't worthy of representing my hometown a second longer.

lecturing

How rich is this? The Democrats (led by John Brennan, who needed his op-ed, "We Need No Lectures," corrected by the editors of USA Today) are now claiming that Obama's opponents are 'serving the goals of al Qaeda.'

Really? The party of pacifism, who urgently gave non-citizens Miranda rights, court dates and attorneys to terrorists... aren't they serving the goals of al Qaeda?

Didn't the Liberal extremists @ the NY Times who purposefully exposed the secret (and successful) wireless wiretapping surveillance program serve the goals of al Qaeda?

The vilification of President Bush by the Democrats and the MSM? That served the goals of al Qaeda.

What about the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid telling schoolchildren that the President of the United States was a 'loser'? Did that help serve the goals of al Qaeda?

Keep in mind that the Republicans have never apologized to terrorists. Republicans support the troops with more than lip service. Republicans know, understand and follow the Constitution. Republicans respect the will of the people.  And Republicans are focused on national security.

Meanwhile, we get lectures all day long from the Democrats.  Their condescension is galling, given their stunning failures.  It's apparent they need multiple lectures on leadership, Constitutionality, Patriotism, national security and humility.

gibbs' hand

Here's what was really on Gibbs' palm.

Labels: ,

demonization

Why are the Democrats, the media and the White House so scared of Sarah Palin? Apparently she is all they think about. (Note the laughter of the WH press corps.)

I'd think Bob Gibbs would be telling reporters about what the President is doing to jump start the economy, or how he's protecting Americans from terrorism or about the new promise to work in a bi-partisan manner with Republicans on health care.

No, instead the press secretary is spending valuable time making fun of the supposedly dumb, irrelevant former Governor of Alaska, even though his boss recently said he wanted to transcend 'petty politics.'

If I didn't know any better I'd say the Palin critics are acting like immature little brats.

blind loyalty

You know that one person in your life who loves you no matter what, no matter how bad you screw up he/she always stands by you?

Michelle (For the First Time in my Adult Life I'm Proud of my Country) Obama is that person for the President. Only a deaf, dumb and blindly loyal person would say that the President has done 'a phenomenal job.'

game changer

Everything Sarah says here is a home run. As is the rest of the speech.

Labels: , ,

biased & classless

It's one thing for a talking head to tear into a political figure, but it's totally inappropriate for a so-called 'reporter,' someone who made a pledge and has an obligation to be unbiased in their job to mock the former Governor of Alaska.

Andrea Mitchell should be fired immediately for mocking Sarah Palin.

goodbye

What do you say about a person like Jack Murtha?

Someone, now dead, whom you've disagreed with, someone who brought grave dishonor upon himself and his country?

What do you say about a former Marine who blindly rushed to judgment (and thought the worst about) his fellow Marines, but never apologized for his obtuse statements, even after he was proven wrong?

What do you say about a man overshadowed by a dark cloud of corruption and questionable ethics his entire Congressional career?

The best thing I can say? Pennsylvania's 12th Congressional seat is now open and the special election is scheduled for May 12.

white flag

New US Senator Scott Brown is sworn in ceremoniously in the ...

Real hope and change. *Obamacare might be dead.

"I think it's very important for us to have a methodical, open process over the next several weeks, and then let's go ahead and make a decision.

"And it may be that ... if Congress decides we're not going to do it, even after all the facts are laid out, all the options are clear, then the American people can make a judgment as to whether this Congress has done the right thing for them or not," the president said. "And that's how democracy works. There will be elections coming up, and they'll be able to make a determination and register their concerns."

It's funny (and perfectly appropriate) that Obama waved the white flag of failure on Obamacare at a DNC fundraiser.

Sixty votes in the Senate for an entire year and they couldn't pass health care? How feckless, weak and ineffectual is Barack Obama? How much of a liar is he?

A "methodical, open process'? Like putting the Congressional debate on CSPAN?

'If Congress decides we're not going to do it'? Who made Reid and Pelosi co-Presidents?

'After all the facts are laid out, all the options are clear, then the American people can make a judgment as to whether this Congress has done the right thing for them or not'?

What he is talking about? Obama promised transparency but there was none. The Democrats wrote Obamacare in secret and they twice voted on it in secret, late into the night.

We just didn't know what was in it. The freaking lawmakers didn't even know what was in it, they just voted on a party line!!!

But now we know exactly what's in it. The American people HAVE MADE A JUDGMENT ON OBAMACARE AND THEY DON'T WANT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*The only way Obamacare will truly die is if the Republicans carve away the Majority from the Democrats -- or become the Majority in Congress themselves in November. Otherwise, the 'transparent' Democrats might continue to force socialized medicine down our collective throats.

'where are the jobs, mr. president'?

Remember when Nancy Pelosi bashed President Bush in 2003 for 3.2 million lost jobs? She penned a letter, "Where are the jobs, Mr. President"?

Of course, those job losses were in the wake of 9/11 and the Democrats were playing politics then just as they are today.

Not much has changed except the Democrats have been in the Majority since 2007, Pelosi is Speaker of the House and they, not the Republicans, are wholly responsible for losing 8.4 million jobs.

Where are the jobs, David Axelrod, I mean, President Obama?

30" of snow

Record snowfalls expected in the Northeast. Washington DC is predicted to get 30" of snow from what people are calling a 'powerhouse snowstorm.'

What about all that global warming crap? How about that climate change garbage? It is winter, after all, right? If the climate was changing or getting warmer DC should be 75 degrees today instead of 33 degrees.

Where's Al Gore? Where are all those phony scientists?

(If you bought into the global warming hype, you are stupid.)

a bogus presidency

Astroturfer-in-Chief David Axelrod got ripped by the questionably elected Senator Al Franken (D-MN)?

From Politico:
“There was a lot of frustration in there,” said a Democratic senator who declined to be identified.

“People were hot,” another Democratic senator said.

"Democratic senators are frustrated that the White House hasn’t done more to win over the public on health care reform and other aspects of its ambitious agenda — and angry that, in the wake of Scott Brown’s win in the Massachusetts Senate race, the White House hasn’t done more to chart a course for getting a health care bill to the president’s desk."
Axelturf got Obama elected with bogus rhetoric, but the country has awakened to the fact that this administration doesn't know how to govern or lead. That's another prime example of why Liberals shouldn't be trusted with the Presidency of the United States.

'corpseman'

This is a prime example of why military-hating Liberals are unqualified to be the President of the United States.

oh, canada

"I can confirm that Premier Williams did leave the province this morning and will be undergoing heart surgery later this week," said Mr. Williams' spokeswoman, Elizabeth Matthews.

Yes, government-run health care sucks. You have to wait a long time, they ration care, it's terrible. As are most things anytime government gets involved.

When people need specialized medical care, they come to the United States. Latest case in point: Danny Williams, the premier of Newfoundland, Canada.

American Liberals are always pointing to CanadaCare as the Holy Grail, end-all, be-all, the ultimate example of perfect government-run health care, which proves yet again that the Left is comprised of a bunch of lying lunatics who don't give a damn about making things better, or doing what's best for society at large. They don't care about what we want. They are interested only in accruing and keeping power.

These are the same liars who purposefully advance the myth that American health care is sub-standard and ranked 37th in the world, as compared to other countries. That World Health Organization (WHO) ranking is dated and flawed.

Flawed, because it judges health care systems for problems -- cultural, behavioral, economic -- beyond the control of health care. If life expectancy falls in America, which it has since 2000, is it the fault of American medical care, or could it have a lot to do with, say, dietary habits?

This bogus report weighed factors against literacy rates and income inequality, even though hard data for each country was "generally weren't" available.

Even the editor-in-chief of the WHO report, a doctor named Philip Musgrove, says the rankings are "meaningless," since they contain "so many made-up numbers." The result is that the WHO report, and the numbers on which much of the world has been incorrectly judging American health care, is "nonsense."

Amusingly, WHO says "we would not consider (the report) current," yet they have no plans to correct/update the data.

"a nation of dodos"

Krauthammer sums up Liberals.

They think we're stupid.

first amendment

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas on McCain-Feingold campaign finance law and corporations:
“If 10 of you got together and decided to speak, just as a group, you’d say you have First Amendment rights to speak and the First Amendment right of association,” he said. “If you all then formed a partnership to speak, you’d say we still have that First Amendment right to speak and of association.”
Justice Thomas on not attending State of the Union speeches:

“I don’t go because it has become so partisan and it’s very uncomfortable for a judge to sit there,” he said, adding that “there’s a lot that you don’t hear on TV — the catcalls, the whooping and hollering and under-the-breath comments.”

“One of the consequences,” he added in an apparent reference to last week’s address, “is now the court becomes part of the conversation, if you want to call it that, in the speeches. It’s just an example of why I don’t go.”

duh

Giving terrorists Miranda rights? Granting the 9/11 planners criminal trials in New York City? What moron is making these decisions?

What the hell is wrong with keeping AND trying these bastards @ Guantanamo? The facility was built for JUST these kinds of things.

From the LA Times:

"Now that the Obama administration's Justice Department appears ready to deny the publicity-seeking self-proclaimed 9/11 mastermind, his alleged cohorts and their defense attorneys the brightly-lit global stage of Broadway and the Big Apple for the trials, the debate begins over where best to hold them.

"Chicago's South Side Hyde Park doesn't seem to be on the list of possibles. Nor Eric Holder's neighborhood.

"Gee, if only the United States had a secure military-type prison 90 miles offshore where it could not only safely house these accused possessed evildoers but try them as well."

It sucks when 2008's empty political rhetoric meets 2010's reality, huh Barry?
